Go Together (gotogether.purposedit.com) is operated by Purposed IT, Inc. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. Questions or requests: support@purposedit.com.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and the display name you choose.
- Group content: what you and your group add — places and events, the links you share, notes, +1s, poll votes, and plans (including any booking details you choose to store).
- Mobile number (optional): if you turn on texts, your number, whether it’s verified, a record of your consent (when you agreed and the wording you agreed to), your opt-out status, and the texts exchanged with Go Together numbers.
- Calendar (optional): if you connect Google Calendar, the access needed to add your group’s plans to it.
- Technical: the sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, and standard server logs (such as IP address and time of a request) used for security.
- Texts from others: if someone who hasn’t signed up texts a Go Together number (for example, in a group thread it was added to), we log the number and message only to prevent abuse. We never reply to them or show it in the app.
We don’t use advertising or analytics trackers, and we don’t sell your information.
How we use it
- To run Go Together: show your group’s list, votes and plans to its members.
- To email you sign-in codes.
- To send the texts you signed up for — verification codes, replies to your texts, and reminders of your groups’ plans — and to honor STOP and HELP.
- To keep Go Together secure and prevent abuse.
Who we share it with
- Your groups: members see what’s added to the groups they belong to — including the texts you send to a group’s Go Together number and the assistant’s replies, which appear in that group’s recap in the app. Your phone number is never shown to other members; a group owner sees at most its last four digits.
- Service providers that run Go Together for us: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Amazon Web Services (sign-in email), Twilio (text messages), and Google (only if you connect Google Calendar). They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people or the service.
Text messaging and your mobile number
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as delivering the messages or customer service, is permitted. All other categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, by unticking “Text me reminders and replies”, or by removing your number in the app. See the text messaging program and the messaging terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active and as long as needed to run Go Together, meet legal obligations (such as keeping records of text-message consent), and resolve disputes. Removing your number stops texts; you can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.
Your choices
- Change your display name, phone number and text preferences in the app.
- Disconnect Google Calendar at any time.
- Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing support@purposedit.com.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the members of each group by database-level rules, and accounts are invitation-only.
Children
Go Together isn’t intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes we’ll post the new version here with a new date.
